Artist’s Statement
I am drawn to the idea of including references to the time and place of the concert. The silhouette of Mt. Diablo and the Alamo area suggested lips, which account for the muse’s bemused expression. The moon in her forehead is an approximation of the actual phase of the moon on 6/22/2012 (northern hemisphere). Any resemblance to real people is purely metaphysical. – Lee Conklin
